Comprehensive receptive/expressive language assessment for m

Postby speechteach13626 » Sun Jun 21, 2009 6:36 pm

Do you know of a great language assessment that isn't lengthy to administer to middle school aged children? I've been using the OWLS (Oral Written Language Scales), but it takes a lot of analysis time that I don't have. I've tried the CASL, but it's too complex for most of my special education students. I'm just looking for a very basic measure of language skills that is fairly easy to administer. I'm thinking about the TOLD I:4 (Test of Language Development), but I'm not sold yet. Any ideas?

You are going to get the best information by using the CASL. It is lengthy, but the it is worth the time and effort.
