Hi All,
I am new to this forum and thought I'd start off with a question. Recently picked-up an eigth grader (move-in) w/ a horrible lateralized s,z. He's had his fill of tx. and would like to be d/c'd. I feel I should at least try.
What works for you? He's had all the traditional tech. as far moving into the s.
any suggestions appreciated!

I had the same thing happen to me last year with a 7th grader. Is he able to produce a good /s/ and /z/? If not, check out the posts under one of the other areas on this forum for lateralized /s/ therapy. Also, you might want to check his tongue placement. I changed my student's tongue placement slightly. It felt more natural to him and he has now improved so that his remaining problem is very mild...noticeable to me, but not his teachers and friends!
