Mikey is one of my 1st grade students who is working on carryover of the /l/ sound. He also has a lateral lisp. I reminded him today how much better his speech is than last year. Last year he made many sound misarticulations. I told him he almost had the /l/ and we would work on /s/ in 2nd grade..his response..."Well, the s is going out of fashion."
