Lighter Side

One of my very responsible second grade students forgot to bring her speech notebook to class. The following week again she did not bring in her speech book. Instead, she handed me an envelope. I opened it at once thinking it was a note from her mom. To my surprise it was a picture of a sweet looking, rather large dog. On the back of the picture it said,” culprit…Mason the dog…we think he ate the speech book.” I still keep the picture of Mason on my desk!
